My day starts when the sun rises. Birds start chirping early in the morning.They all sit on the peepal tree on the back yard.Different kinds of birds sparrows,crows,mynah,pigions visit my house.Sqirrels are also regular visitors.They all wait for me as I give them their early morning feed.I like to serve them food.Those are the best moments of my day.I am feeding them for years.Pigions and sparrows eat millets,corn,sunflower seeds.CROWS and Mynah eat gramflour bhujia rice and chappati mixed in milk. Squirrel eat nuts, corn, chappati, biscuits.I have never spoken to them but they are my best friends.They have shared my joys, my sorrows,they have changed my life .They understand my feelings they know that pigons will get their serving first, next will be the turn of sparrows , then mynah and squirrels and at last crows, they are a little bit naughty,but most intelligent.They start crowing to the loudest when they feel there is any kind of danger. Sometimes I have seen all these birds sittng side by side and eating their food.I feel so happy at that time.They are not even scared of bruno, our pet dog.He sometimes feel jealous and he barks at them but now he has accepted these regular visitors.
Besides these visitors I have many more friends .They are two cats and three street dogs . But they come at different times cats usually come in the afternoons and dogs at night. I have seen many people who feed birds and animals but I DONT understand why some people hate them . I have seen people throwing stones on them they cant speak it dosent mean that they are not hurt.I HATE THOSE PEOPLE. I will continue in my next post.
Hi Seema! This is Priya's husband chris. She just shared the link to your blog. And I am so excited to be reading it! You are amazing to befriend those animals like that and to care for them. To make sure they are fed. We have a rabbit at the home I bought for Priya and I. It lives under our deck in the backyard. I've been feeding it carrots under strict orders from Priya :) Isis (our dog here) tries desperatly to catch it! But she is to slow and the rabbit is to fast and smart. The rabbit takes off from under the warm hole it has dug under the deck and runs around the corner and through the fence to the front yard when the door opens and Isis paws hit the wood deck. Isis hears her and runs around the deck trying to catch it but Isis is not nearly fast enough :)
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about people throwing stones at animals. I don't understand that either. Or why they do it. Man has not been a very good steward of the earth. Hate is just part of human nature. As is love and compassion. Humans are a mix of good and bad. Capable of beauty and also of horrible nightmares. I wish we were all good but we haven't evolved that far yet. Maybe one day humans will move beyond hate and jealousy and all the other bad energy that makes us human today. Only time will tell.
I am excited to know about your blog though and will subscribe to it and read all of your entries! :)
Thanks chris for your positive feedback.I m really pleased that u also feel the same way as i do.You know chris that there is no single person in our family who dislikes animals.I thank God for this.Priyanka is like my daughter and whenever I have any problem she has always been there to help me.She also told me about your love for animals and how you saved Isis.Reading about your rabbit and isis war really interesting.I like rabbits too.They are really cute.I hope Isis and your rabbit will be friends soon.I will be writing my next post soon.God bless you.
